This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the Bet4fun mobile app and the bet4funapp.com website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you stay in control of it.

1. Who is responsible for your data

L.S.D.P. Distribution publishes the Bet4fun app distributed on the App Store, as well as the bet4funapp.com website.

2. What we collect

2.1 Account data

An account is required to play with your friends. We then collect:

your email address;
your display name and, if you add one, your profile picture;
an account identifier assigned automatically;
if you sign in with Apple or Google, the identifier that provider passes to us. We never receive your password.

Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google). We do not store your password in plain text.

2.2 Usage data

We measure how the app is used so we can improve it and fix what breaks: screens viewed, actions taken in the app, session frequency and length, crash and error reports, device type, operating system version, language, and approximate country derived from your IP address.

2.3 Content you create

The predictions, groups, standings, scores and messages you create in the app are stored so they can be shown to the people concerned. Some of this content is, by design, visible to other members of your group.

2.4 Advertising data

The app displays advertising through Google AdMob. See section 7.

What we do not collect. Bet4fun never asks for your payment details, your precise (GPS) location, or access to your contacts, microphone or camera without an explicit action on your part.

Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We rely on the following providers, acting as processors or joint controllers:

We may also disclose your data to administrative or judicial authorities where the law requires it.

5. Transfers outside the European Union

Our providers are established in the United States, so some of your data is transferred there. These transfers are covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, by those providers’ certification under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. You may ask us for a copy of the safeguards in place at the address in section 13.

6. How long we keep it

Account data: for as long as your account exists, then deleted within 30 days of its deletion.
Content created (predictions, groups, scores): deleted or anonymised together with your account. Content shared within a group may remain visible in anonymised form so the group’s history stays coherent.
Usage data and statistics: 14 months at most, in line with the French data protection authority’s guidance.
Crash reports: 90 days.
Inactive accounts: deleted after 3 years without a sign-in, following prior notice by email.

7. Advertising and advertising identifiers

Bet4fun is free and funded by advertising, served by Google AdMob.

On iOS, before any tracking for advertising purposes, the app asks for your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, no advertising identifier (IDFA) is used to track you: ads are still shown, but they are not personalised.

You can change this choice at any time under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iPhone, and further limit personalisation under Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.

In the European Economic Area, a consent screen compliant with the IAB TCF framework lets you accept or refuse advertising purposes and manage the vendors involved.

8. Deleting your account and your data

You can delete your account directly in the app: Profile → Settings → Delete my account. Deletion is permanent and erases your account data and your content within 30 days.

You can also request deletion by email at privacy@bet4funapp.com from the address linked to your account.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR and French data protection law, you have the following rights:

Access: obtain a copy of the data we hold about you.
Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erasure: ask for your data to be deleted.
Restriction: ask for processing to be temporarily frozen.
Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Objection: object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
Withdrawal of consent: at any time, for processing that depends on it.
Post-mortem instructions: set what happens to your data after your death.

To exercise these rights, write to privacy@bet4funapp.com. We reply within one month, extendable by two months for complex requests. We may ask for proof of identity where there is reasonable doubt.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France — cnil.fr — or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.

10. Security

Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (TLS). Data is hosted on Google Cloud / Firebase infrastructure with encryption at rest. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it and protected by two-factor authentication. No system is infallible: should a breach be likely to result in a high risk to your rights, we will inform you and the CNIL.

11. Minimum age

Bet4fun is restricted to people aged 18 or over. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. The app is not intended for minors and we do not knowingly collect their data.

If we discover that an account was created by someone under 18, we delete it along with all associated data. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has given us personal data, write to privacy@bet4funapp.com and we will delete it.

Bet4fun is a prediction game played among friends. The app allows no real-money betting and offers no monetary winnings.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy may change as the app evolves. We will tell you about any substantial change in the app or by email before it takes effect. The last-updated date appears at the top of this page.
